The town a mile from Canada he was talking about when he got pulled over by BP was Massena, NY, and it really wasn’t as empty as he claimed. The main problem was that floor seats were just folding chairs and the rest was the risers where people sit to watch hockey. If the promoter had had the foresight to get some collapsible bleachers in on the floor, more people could have been there instead of the upper deck and the arena wouldn’t have looked so empty. As it was, if you added any more rows of chairs no one would have been able to see the ring. Mick was a really nice guy when I met him for an autograph but I could tell he seemed a little bummed out, and the next day was when he put out that “Empty Arena” tweet. Within the week both he and Tommy Dreamer were gone from TNA, so apparently Massena had a real negative effect on these guys. Still, the crowd was really hot, and I certainly had a lot of fun.
Great podcast! Mick is a great business mind, it was cool to hear him and Colt talk!
I just found out my buddies back home are getting to see Colt in Newfoundland in March. I just moved to the Canadian Arctic!
So frustrated! I hope Colt is in WWE by then. Ha!

Another great AOW. So cool you used the “Mr. Bang Bang” song. Takes me back to when I was in High School and literally circled the parking lot in my for a good three minutes blasting that song as school let out. Had people doing air guitar solos and everything.
